This deck may look lame, but it was made to beat the first to quests in the core set solo, and it can do that with a little bit of luck.
Strategy:
Paying for cardsBasically, know when to spend. Don't play Daughters until someone is damaged, always save a resource or two for events, but most importantly: use Denethor or Henny to scry and see what you should spend on.
Drawing CardsGleowine as early as possible (unless you need the snare).
QuestingGreyflood wander is super good once he gets in play, but until then, just quest with Eowyn. Super risky, but she won't be flat-out destroyed in one turn. She gets a copy of Citadel Plate to make her indestructible. Daughters heals her. If she is wounded and a DOrc may come up, quest with someone else to take the hit.
DefendingDenethor, or ents once they are in play. Protector, Dark Knowledge, and second copy of Plate go on Denethor.
AttackingEnemies in core set are EZ. Legolas with 1 Blade of Gondolin or Captain is a one-shot. Get a Veteran Axehand to handle stuff like Forest Spider and Dol Goldur Beast Master. Bosses take Snare.
Tips:
Avoid getting overwhelmed. Once multiple locations stack up or you wind up engaged with multiple enemies, it's all over.
