Hi there !

Here i would like to present a version of what might get a, good / cheap, entry in the world of LOTR LCG !

The deck is made from :

1x coreset 1x Heirs of Numenor 1x The steward's fear

The main goal of this one is to offer a cheap entry with still, a strong heart from the pack, that probably offers the cheapest way of building a solid archetype in the game : The Steward's Fear !

That pack includes all you need to make tons of game around what are probably the most broken allies in the game : OUTLAAAAANDS !!!

Later on you can replace Hirluin for Elrond so you got some healing that works great with those good old warden of healing (must have in the game), but here, you got a nice entry point for cheap !

THE only big lack of this deck are : HEALING and DRAWING

(for healing you will soon or later need those "Warden of healing" and Elrond that can improves this deck even more)

BUT, for someone who's gonna learn the game, this deck is able to survive "Along the Anduin" and also include one of the most interresting quest in the game : "THE STEWARD'S FEAR !"

So who's this deck for ?

Players that wanna learn the game without spending tons of money !

The deck is really easy to play :

Steward of gondor and horn of gondor are going onto Hirluin, helping him building money that launch the Outlanders faster.

Eowyn is there... well... For questing ! and removing those cards you won't play, boosting Willpower in the process !

Beregond could be replace by Legolas if you prefer, or by an aragorn for more willpower, nor even Theodred ! For more Money !

But as far as i go, i always liked having a big defender on the table (yes i'm looking at you big Fat HILL TROLL !!!)

With his gondorian shield, the good old beregond reach 6 defense, and with some untaps (behind strong walls, common cause (tapping hirluin there to untap big beregond) and unexpected courage, you got that defensive safety !

WICH ALSO : IS ALWAYS AWESOME ON A 2PLAYERS GAME !!!

And as the game is awesome at 2 players : There you got : Eowyn for big quest, Beregond with Sentinel and Hirluin wich later on can "Ranged" pretty good once you got some Knights of the swan on the board !

So of course, this deck isn't perfect, as i said, you'll lack some drawing and even worst, some healing !

but if you intend to learn the game, or play with a friend, thoses 2 packs offers many good cards to have a solid start in the game !

And as always, feel free to change, switch, improves the deck for what you like the most and your playstyle !

EDIT : After checking and speaking, i realize that "test of will" is 2 times in the coreset, so obviously, you have to put the second copy of it into the deck.

Then, you defenatly can swap some cards and bring some others. The first change i made is to bring the 3rd Copy Of Gandalf, as ressources can accumulate on Eowyn and Beregond quite fast so they can pay the 5 cost for gandhi together !

Adapt the deck for your playstyle and needs !

Great Idea, a good Idea for someone who want to enter the game for cheap.

I dislike some of the choices in the deck:

A single copy of test of will should be 2 Good harvest should be traded for errand rider, better smoothing Common cause is just a bad card, even in early for beregond untaps With a single core and sneak combo, the 3rd Gandalf is due

Other than that, it's a solid take, but i think Beravor, Theodred, Hirluin is the superior archetype for the three box.

@MadaoMadao do not forget that, with only ONE coreset... you will only have 1 test of will...

And of course, harvest can be traded for the 3rd errand.

After testing, i also bring the 3rd Gandalf into the deck coz i might have some unused ressources on beregond and Eowyn quite fast...

Tons of little changes can be taken here.

The core idea, is making a solid entry for 2 players game and or solo (with still some challange has you got no heal and not many drawing)

Still, the idea was, having solid cards, that also offer quest that can be played and cards that are and will, always be strong in the game (outlands - beregond - shield of gondor, etc..)

@MadaoMadao guess what, i thought that "Test of will" was only in one copy in the coreset !

So : OF COURSE ! you have to play the Second one in the deck ! ^^

And of course, harvest can be traded for the 3rd errand.

Some minor changes can be made here (forgot that "test of will" was 2 times in that coreset !)
