kjeld has a newer deck inspired by this one: To Ride the Winds

Both Eagles and Rohan like to leave play, so why not combine them together with The Last Alliance to take maximum advantage of cross-trait synergies?

You can cycle an ally once a turn with Gamling, as well.

The fun part of the deck is deciding when and how to use The Last Alliance each turn. Use it on Gwaihir? On Theoden? On Eagles of the Misty Mountains? On the Horn? On Eomund? Lots of great options.

The other fun part is deciding who should leave play when and how in order to maximize the ally discount from The Last Alliance.

@kjeldFor your information you cannot change the Traits with The Last Alliance, only the ability text of the character.

Otherwise Rohan-Eagle is a really good combo for The Last Alliance, I played it myself with a very similar deck to great effect.

@Alonewolf87 You are right! I misread TLA as text box, not ability text. Dang. Well, most of the fun stuff in the deck still works, and Thengel does work to change cheap allies into expensive allies, and both Eagles and Rohan like to leave play, so I think the deck still works. Might like to find a way to add in Gúthwinë, though it seems too much trouble to add a icon. Shame it has to run hero Gwaihir instead of the ally -- that would be a nice combo with Thengel!

Not sure I follow, how would ally Gwaihir combo with Thengel?

Two other small nitpicks in case you were not aware of them: Flight of the Eagles would not trigger Thengel and the ally put in play with Thengel's ability enters play exhausted.

not seen the 1. time. i lack Wilyador. would take him 3 times, replace some winged guardian or descendant of thorondor. specially ccording to the fact u only have 1 tacticres per round.

would replace the Steed of the Mark. snowmane and courage should do it if more refresh is needed, i would take Miruvor. the steeds are to expensive in use.

@Alonewolf87 Ugh, you're right about Thengel limitations. Shoot.

@doomguard Good point on Wilyador, just missed him, I think. I would probably sub 2x Winged Guardian and 1x Descendant of Thorondor for 3x Wilyador. As to the mounts, I do like that they can be fetched by the Westfold Horse-breeder, whereas there's nothing to fetch UC or Miruvor. Card draw can be a bit of an issue, and anything to pull cards out of the deck faster seems good. However, I'll play around with it some.

@carddraw, i misjudged Flight of the Eagles with The Eagles Are Coming!.

The Eagles Are Coming! you should definetly include. with contract you can search for eagles AND rohirrim. so it give you an average of ca. 3,5 cards for no-cost.

if no other idea replace Mustering the Rohirrim (only 1 card and it cost)
