Beorn 14160
A hyper-aggressive version of the Three Hunters deck, featuring the new versions of Gimli and Legolas from The Sands of Harad. It does not bother with their featured weapon (the Mirkwood Long-knife) or Armor (Dwarven Shield) - which frankly are kind of mediocre. It does make excellent use of Unlikely Friendship - the perfect accelerator for any deck which wants to start quickly.
Since I wanted to focus on the three hunters, the deck is very light on allies. In fact, the only ally in the deck which stays in play for more than a round is the Westfold Horse-breeder, which is simply here to fetch Roheryn. The horse is powerful in its own right, but most importantly it provides access to Tactics for Gondorian Fire. If for some inexplicable reason you can't find a copy of Roheryn, you can always use Galadriel to attach it to Aragorn without the sphere match.
Yes, this is a Blood/Fire deck. Ordinarily, I would stay away from this particular strategy because it is a bit tired at this point. However, the only way to make a Three Heroes deck thematic is to severely limit the number of allies. This puts tremendous pressure on the heroes to handle all aspects of the game. The readying and stat-boosted provided by Gimli and Legolas help to some extent, but we need Aragorn to handle a heavy load in combat or else we risk being overrun.
With Steward of Gondor attached and at least one copy of Blood of Númenor and Gondorian Fire attached to Aragorn, the only thing missing is some readying and we can handle pretty much anything. The deck is absolutely crammed with card draw and resource acceleration, which should make it very consistent as long as you survive the first couple rounds. Don't worry about the threat raise from the Doomed cards, Aragorn will reset your threat once you are better established.
In multiplayer, the Doomed cards can be swapped out (which will slow the deck down a bit) and replaced with weapons and armor that are more relevant for Gimli's sentinel and Legolas's ranged keywords. Quests with game-ending treacheries might necessitate A Test of the Will from the sideboard. Lots of direct damage can be handled by either Dúnedain Remedy or Warden of Healing. Aragorn will likely be facing a multitude of attacks, so quests with brutal shadow cards may require extra copies of A Burning Brand or even Armored Destrier.
For even more resource acceleration, include We Are Not Idle and Captain's Wisdom. If for some reason you simply must include more allies, feel free to add Treebeard and any other Ents of your choosing. This is not only one of the most powerful options for this deck, but one that maintains some semblance of theme. Happy hunting!

Feb 20, 2017Good call with Master of the Forge, that is a much more effective card in this deck than the Horse-breeder. I'm glad that this deck has worked well for you. |
Jun 29, 2017I'd argue that the long-knife is worth it, but not the Dwarven shield |
Oct 30, 2018You mention Dúnedain Remedy in the description, but it doesn't seem to be in the deck, nor the sideboard. |
Oct 30, 2018Oh wait, that's substitute for multiplayer. Sorry, I see it. (No way to delete old comments?) |
Oct 30, 2019What kind of cards for sentinel and ranged would you replace the Doomed cards with in multiplayer? |
Apr 05, 2022I assume this deck was created before Forth, The Three Hunters! was released....how would you change it to add that? Or would you? |
this is a great deck. I made one slight change, I swapped the horse-breeders for Master of the Forge. He can pull a mount out too, and since this is an attachment heavy deck he never whiffed on me. Awesome build!
