Durins_Father 3203

Durins_Father has a newer deck inspired by this one: Location, Location, Location

After my deck on how to place a lot of direct damage on enemies (http://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/1277/i-ll-damage-you-directly-1.0), I wanted to try to do the same for locations. To do this, I worked on a Scout/Ranger Silvan/Dunadain deck which will make short work of any locations in the staging area.

Legolas is here to get a few key cards out of the sphere that will help in placing progress when enemies are killed. This includes his own ability, Arod which can be placed on Legolas and the Blade of Gondolin which can be placed on all heroes to place more progress once enemies have died. The Rivendell Blade can make this easier since the reduction comes in quite handy against most enemies.

Idraen brings the Dunadain and side of the cardpool to this deck with Warden of Arnor, Northern Tracker, Greyflood Wanderer and Lórien Guide to place a lot of progress on locations in play. The sphere also provides this deck with some threat lowering, readying effects and more location control with both Thror attachments (Key and Map).

Haldir of Lórien tags along for the sphere with some key events like Distant Stars and Expert Trackers to help with locations. Lore also brings some good allies to the board, even the Ravenhill Scout isn't all to bad in this deck, so I wanted to include him to see if his ability helps in shifting some progress around. Wingfoot was a must-include for this ranger deck since it can ready both Haldir of Lórien and Idraen is she isn't readied by her own effect. Healing is also included and some Silvan cards to help bring the more expansive Lórien Guide to the table.

I am eager to see how this deck can be improved when the new APs come out since there are many new Scout cards, but with the current cardpool, this is the best you can do to completly evade the dreadful locationlock of some quests.
