This deck is meant to be played as a fellowship with the corresponding combat deck.
Pippin is thematically the hero to be sacrificed as a captive.
Light of Valinor is worth a mulligan. Having Glorfindel available to attack is a huge boon. If you're able to draw Unexpected Courage, place that on Treebeard. If a second copy is drawn, attach that across the board on Gimli, to allow both questing and attacking by the archery soak. The Favor of the Lady is best played on Aragorn as he always quests. If Treebeard begins accumulating damage and Wellinghall Preserver isn't in play, adding Self Preservation to him is expensive but will go a long way to fully utilizing him.
A good strategy for this deck is to optionally engage enemies and utilize the ranged ability of Legolas and hopefully a sentinel Winged Guardian from the combat deck to help attack and defend. This is a good strategy until Treebeard is able to ready.
