This deck is, of course, a melding of an idea (and title) from 13nrv's deck The Rapid Charge of the Outlands! and an idea of Seastan's from Dale Force Wins.

The idea of 13nrv: use Erestor & Denethor to set up fast. The idea of Seastan: put out a Guardian of Esgaroth with a Valiant Determination, Hauberk of Mail and Wild Stallion attached to him; he will quest for 5 without exhausting. Then it can defend for 6; if you use Narya to ready him between the exhausting to defend & the defense, it will defend for 7, and then attack back for 6 . If you have two loaded up Guardians, you can do it twice (well, only one 7, the other will be 6).

So that's what you do. Mulligan for Steward of Gondor, and put it on Círdan the Shipwright, since Narya will give him a icon. Then get out as much as you can. Getting a Legacy of Númenor helps a lot. If you get a Valiant Determination before you get out a Guardian, you can attach it to either the Warden of Healing or a Long Lake Trader, and then use the Trader to move it later. (The Trader can take a Hauberk of Mail too.) Of course the Wild Stallion, as it were, holds itself. You can get the first Guardian set up pretty quickly, and then work on the other two. And then you're good to go.

It's not a perfect solo deck: it's slow for a round or three, and it lacks cancellation. I myself have been pairing it with my earlier deck Only the Best, slightly tweaked, which can bring both. But this is a fun deck to play, certainly. Give it a spin!

Excellent! I just played it, really powerful, definitely missed test of will!

@harrken: Thanks! And yeah, I find A Test of Will hard to use in an Erestor deck: the forced discard means you either have to use it the round you draw it, or add in a Silver Harp to keep it around, and either way it's cumbersome. (When I play this deck, the other deck brings the cancellation.)

Do you mean to have Warden of Helms Deep in the deck instead of Warden of Healing?

@GiantWyrm No, the deck is right, the description wrong. It’s Warden of Healing.

perhaps it is better with Beravor instead of erestor.

you see "only" 5 cards per round, but you can keep it if you cannot pay within this round. i think you are not this dependend on luck to get the cards together and you can include A Test of Will
