The Thematic Saga continues with The Uruk-Hai

In this series I am trying to use as many thematic cards as possible as I play the Lord of the Rings Saga quests in order, in a modified campaign mode. The modification is that I will not be raising my threat if I swap heroes in-between quests.

Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas are tracking the footsteps of two young hobbits. Armed with only what they need for the rescue they set off as The Three Hunters.

Finding clues along the way, including a Leaf Brooch, they travel through the plains of the Horse Lords. Here we truly see the Unlikely Friendship between the elf and dwarf. The Far-sighted Legolas is armed with Mirkwood Long-knives. Gimli wields a Dwarven Shield and wears Armor of Erebor. Aragorn has some bling, along with Andúril.

For this build the biggest issue I had was deciding whether or not to include a version of Gimli or Legolas. I decided against it because the built in action advantage of the Sands of Harad versions was too good to pass up. Play your attachments wisely. Some, like Valiant Sword and Shining Shield can go on any of the heroes. It may not make the most mechanical sense to give Legolas the shield, but if it will flip the contract then it is worth it. Mulligan hard for Elven-light and cheap attachments and you should be able to flip the contract quickly.

maybe include Thorongil or Song of Battle to get tactic sphere. I know it's not that thematic but still more then Legolas using shield.

@FranekWojtekthanks for commenting. That is a good suggestion, but the issue is flipping the contract as fast as possible, so any multi-card combos slow that down. Thorongil cannot go on Aragorn because it says a non- hero. I wish it could, I would love to get access to with it.

Your right it would be nice to include some Lore cards, especially Wingfoot for thematic purposes. You could do this with A Good Harvest, Narvi's Belt or Song of Wisdom but it probably wouldn't be worth the investment.
