beregond? ah, some defender of the southman. gondor 'heard off. should be a pretty good defender. but can he also attack, as much as needed? if u want to do it right lets do it a dwarf....

this deck is made to defend, optimal for the whole table:

that will be realised with a proud Soldier of Erebor with Arwen Undómiel he get sentinel from the start and be refreshed as many times as are enough cards in the deck. the Will of the West helps if it thinns out.

full equipped (armor, hauberk, boots and stallion) he get up to 7 defense and 6 hp

mulligan for Timely Aid, if you do not get it, use carddraw (sneaked gandalf, runes) and #drinking song.

there are few options without Timely Aid. play 2 secrecy allies and a A Very Good Tale or 1 secrecy- ally + sneaked gandalf.

Are you aware that the Erebor Soldier can only ready once per round?

no, o.k. not soo good. but still, if you can have 2-3 into play. only 1 can have arwens bonus, but there are 3 Armor of Erebor

not better than beregond, but an alternative ;) and the lesseer attacks can be held by the Erebor Guard and denethor.

I would remove Folco and add Beregond

It looks like a fun deck! I like the idea of trying to use a bunch Soldiers of Erebor, they're a great card.

that would be a complete other deck. with an equipped beregond, you do not really need these soldiers.

playing with steward as mandatory card is booring ;) (in my deck its inside, because denethor is there but it will mostly go to another player, getting 1 Resourceful wouldbe enough for this deck)

the mainpart is, to get these soldiers cheap in with Timely Aid and A Very Good Tale that vanishes in your version. if you can regulary PAY them, the game is over.

btw. Hauberk of Mail is also very good for beregond, would keep 1 in if i where u.

Gimli could be a great fit with this deck. You can quest with him, then use his sentinel keyword to defend an attack anywhere on the table. He also has the Warrior trait so Hauberk of Mail (a card I don't have but looks great) fits him nicely, as does Armor of Erebor.

Really like decks that hone in on an aspect of the game, and this seems like a defending beast.

gimli fits very well! replace 1 of the Dúnedain Wanderer or add him without replacement
