try to make the best eagledeck thats possible.

strat seems easy and clear.
steward on gwahir (becaue he is the only one who can pay for support of the eagles), after that denethors res are only needed to give away or pay for the staff, warning, sneak attack or wyliador.
with 25 eaglecards i do not know, its better to mulligan for eagles are coming, or the steward?
there are many options to get eagle in or out. should be enough to ready gwaihir 2-3 times a round. radagast would also gain an extra-action because it should be possible to play a creature each turn.
would prefer using gwaihirs debt with gandalf, because of extra cards or thread reduction. dunedain warning goes to gwaihir or radagast where is most needed and they can help each other out in times of need.
both can survive a troll if there is no nasty shadow, but prefer to take it with a sneaked of gwaihirs debted gandalf.
after support of the eagles is out, even big enemys should not be that much of a problem.
its more a fightingdeck but with emmisarys, meneldor, eagles of the misty mountains, wyliador and a put in gandalf it couldmake solid peaks for a "fightingdeck"
it is "o.k.2 for solo, would perhaps put 1-3 faramirs in, or change denethor with motk faramir_L, to be save to get enough questing power.
so, how can it become better?

Sep 17, 2020word of command is good. raven not so, because it reduce eagles. beware, for 1 eagles are coming you get about 2,5 cards half of them has eagle trait. so i reduce staff and steward by 1 and put in 2 words. |
Sep 18, 2020I can see you don't wanto to reduce the numbers of total eagles card (I would add them, I don't fear so much deck slightly above the 50 mark) but the influence of a couple of Messenger Raven on your general chance of drawing cards with The Eagles Are Coming! is negligibile (like down from 2,5 cards to 2,3), while with Wizard Pipe a Raven basically means a guaranteed extra card each round which is kinda huge in my opinion. |
Sep 18, 2020can see your point. but the pipe would be used for gwaihirs debt, and has the least priority after steward and staff. so the probability to get a raven and pipe at the same time ready is not this high. depends of testing if the more cards are needed. with a bit of luck you draw an eagles are coming while using eagles are coming and you will have no problem with cards. |
Sep 18, 2020The Pipe could be used for both Gwaihir's Debt and card draw with Messenger Raven in different turns, depending on your necessities. The Pipe would be a good target for Word of Command too. Still I can see your points, only testing will tell. |
For mulligan I would say that Steward and Staff (in this order) are the most important cards.
I would say some Word of Command could be good here to fetch key cards (this should let you reduce the number of some uniques to make space), and perhaps some Messenger Raven to help with card draw which seems a bit lacking (Gandalf and The Eagles Are Coming are the only source of it).
