In this deck, Beorn gets a taste of the immortality of the elves.
The basic premise is to get Steward of Gondor on Arwen Undómiel, and along with her inherent resource generation, keep bringing back Beorn after he dies with Fortune or Fate and Dwarven Tomb.
The deck has all the bases covered, with early combat covered by Beorn and the early questing provided by the elves. It's got plenty of card draw with Gildor Inglorion and Elven-light. It has the power to take out big enemies in early game thanks to Beorn and a burst provided by Vassal of the Windlord or Light of Valinor on Gildor Inglorion, and in late game with the ramp-up of the Knights of the Swan. It's got A Test of Will and Hasty Stroke for cancellation, and Galadriel's Handmaiden and Elrond's Counsel for threat reduction. And of course it's got the classic Sneak Attack-Gandalf for all of the above.
It's a strong deck, especially considering that it doesn't take advantage of trait synergies or global buffs. It should be able to handle most quests.
Note: (MotK) Erestor can replace Gildor Inglorion if you want a sub-30 starting threat, but then drop Light of Valinor for Messenger Raven to make use of your leadership resources.

Jun 12, 2020Great deck ;). Since I don't have Gildor in my collection I was thinking about swapping him for Balin and 3x Hasty Stroke for 3x Stand and Fight to bring back Vassal of the Windlord or outlands allies in case when they die. |
Jun 12, 2020I always enjoy a good Beorn deck. This looks very fun - and I actually like that it's not trait dependent. I like the inclusion of an Imrahil ally or two. Personally I'd probably do (MotK) Erestor for the lower threat. Looking forward to trying this out :) |

Jun 13, 2020Looks like a ton of fun! The world needs a bit more Beorn |
Jun 18, 2020How does this deck deal with a siege or battle quest? If you don't have a Defender of Rammas out or a vassal of the windlord what do you do? |

Dec 12, 2020How has this deck fared in play? |
Have you considered Prince Imrahil? It can be the third hero when beorn in discard pile. And you even can sneak attack it and needn't return.
