This is an "Aragorn King Deck", aiming particularly at questing and defending multiple times when playing multiplayer but which can also fare well in a solo-environment, though you might sometimes want to play it easy mode.
So, the whole point is to transform Aragorn in his kingly garbs and spirit, with a whopping 5 , 6 , 5 and 8 Hit Points and the possibility to quest through its own ability and defend/attack 4 times (with 3 Unexpected Courage).
Cram Aragorn with:
- A Celebrían's Stone
- The Sword that was Broken
- The Ring of Barahir (+3 Hit Points as the above attachments are artifacts)
- 3x Unexpected Courage for more action advantage
- 3x Dúnedain Mark
- 3x Dúnedain Warning
- Steward of Gondor And then Blood of Númenor for more defense and Gondorian Fire for more attack (fetch and attach it with Galadriel response).
The rest of the deck is oriented towards achieving this goal.
- Arwen Undómiel works as early fuel and resource smoothing late game (alongside the icon given by Celebrían's Stone). Her ability fuels the draw engine with the Elven-light you can pay with the resource pool of the 3 heroes you control (as long as the Stone is on Aragorn). The Steed of Imladris and Elven Jeweler gives you more ways to discard those Elven Light and helps with questing (with boosting from the Sword that Was Broken).
- Glorfindel (who I seldom use...) is used as a third hero, both for his resources and because he's quite thematic here. His low threat is of course nice to begin with (26 threat grand total) and he comes with Light of Valinor and Elrond's Counsel (as an early mitigation of his Forced effect).
Finally, the following glue cards were added:
- Gandalf gives you some punch middle-late game
- The Weather Hills Watchman help you get those Signal in your hand.
- The Galadhrim Weaver an fetch back a few useful cards
- Will of the West to prevent running out of cards (don't forget to play all your Elven-Light from your discard pile back to your hand before using Will of the West).
Have fun!
