Simple questing deck for multiplayer. Quests for a lot, and has next to no combat ability. Good for testing out a combat deck if you don't have a partner to play with, as it doesn't take a lot of brainpower to run.
The deck does have a couple combat-focused cards, just so it has some way to deal with a forced enemy engagement. This is done mostly by chump-blocking then taking out the enemy with Fair and Perilous or some Narya'd allies. But mostly you will be relying on the other deck's ranged and sentinel characters - so your Narya will typically be used on the combat deck's allies. Likewise, your Unexpected Courages are meant for the combat deck's heroes.
It's also got the full suite of cancellation effects you might expect from a questing deck, as well as a bit of side quest support.

Jul 25, 2019I actually ran an almost identical deck to this on the raid of the grey havens. My buddy ran a dunedain deck, so he was solely in charge of combat (and could handle it). We lost lore but in a quest where you gotta move through, this took it down without mercy. We landed Light of Valinor with Círdan the Shipwright and was able to play Tale of Tinúviel to get tactics aragorn up to massive level. That's a pretty sick combo. |
Jul 26, 2019What other multiplayer-friendly tech options would you consider for the sideboard? I'm thinking about things like Thrór's Key, Song of Eärendil, or The Galadhrim's Greeting. And what might you consider subbing out? I ask as this is a great base deck for a multiplayer setting, but there are always some tweaks that could be made depending on the quest and what your partners bring to the table. |
Every pickup fellowship needs a deck like this.
