For Conflict at the Carrock: Build up you heroes and allies, while questing slowly. Use Banks of the Anduin and The East Bight to stall at the first quest stage. You can make Bilbo Baggins into a great defender with A Burning Brand, Dúnedain Warning, Unexpected Courage, Protector of Lórien, and Citadel Plate. All the while use draw power of Bilbo, Beravor, and other cards to get the ideal hand. Make sure to keep the threat of the players other than the Gimli-player low enough, so he can take at least two trolls. The other two can be assigned to the other players or to Gimli as well, depending on the set-up. Use your archers to assist killing trolls assigned with other players. For this quest Thalin needs to be replaced with Legolas for this purpose.
