This deck is part of a two-deck Fellowship used to play A Knife in the Dark for the Cardboard of the Rings Quest of the Week.
The Fellowship description contains details of the quest playthrough and campaign mode information.
This quest tasks us with traveling from Bree to Weathertop, ideally avoiding any Nazgûl until the last minute, when confrontation becomes unavoidable. The main feature of the quest is a number of nasty encounter card effects that give a choice to avoid them in exchange for shuffling a Ringwraith into the encounter deck. But ideally you don't do this as they will all confront the players on the last quest stage.
As a campaign deck, the hero choices were largely already made. For this quest I moved to a hero lineup of Círdan the Shipwright, Éowyn and Glorfindel.
There are not really any tricks to this deck, just doing what the and spheres do best by putting a lot of combat and questing stats on the table.
Raven-winged Helm is included to help Aragorn in the partner deck do some defending if necessary.
Otherwise the only real "tech" cards are West Road Traveller and Hail of Stones. The former allows some shenanigans with the Weather Hills location to permanently deal with enemies, ideally Nazgûl. The latter is included just in case I get the opportunity to take out Bill Ferny in a thematically appropriate way (sadly the game doesn't feature any apple-based cards that I'm aware of).
