So I created this deck to try and find a place for Fatty Bolger.
Assume that we are going to use his ability a lot thus we have to cater for some Threat Reduction. Sneak Attack Gandalf should give us access to some of that sneaky reduction or card draw, whatever suits, while The Galadhrim's Greeting can claw back some threat. Hobbit Pipe and Smoke Rings can be used to optimise these Threat Reduction events/actions.
Since Sneak Attack has been included I have to include at least one Leadership hero and for this I chose Sam Gamgee. He's just class. Add CelebrÃan's Stone, to boost up that lovely willpower, give him a Hobbit Pipe and we're flying.
Eleanor was added as a low cost hero that can help with Treachery - a test of will is there too, just in case - which kinda means that Sam is going to be our main quester. We can always pull him back in a pinch with some Cram or if the enemies are pretty high level. Fatty can always work as cheap defender or we could add a Hobbit Cloak for a defense boost.
We'd like to see Kili and Fili get out onto the board and wreak some havoc while Snowbourn Scout and Guard of the Citadel can chump block if needed. Wandering Tooks can benefit from some Hobbit Pipe and Smoke Rings.
Add to all this a bit of Dumpster Diving with Dwarven Tomb and Will of the West to recycle some threat reduction and deceased allies and we are all set!
