using Haldir of Lórien in soloplay, i would not take a 2. ranged hero. low thread is important, so using tactic i would prefer a hero with less thread (Merry or Éowyn or (MotK) Pippin

@doomguard I managed to beat solo The Massing at Osgiliath with this deck. I used Haldir of Lórien just to have an extra ranged hero and for his ability to keep enemies out of the staging area.

I'm not sure what you mean by

i would not take a 2. ranged hero.

Do you have any recommendations for other heros to keep it all Silvan?

if u want to keep it silvan, there are not so much options.

why do u want to have ranged heroes in solo? haldir with his ability is usable in solo, but ranged itself do not have any benefits in soloplay (except Hands Upon the Bow but it can also used by haldir)

so, then i concentrate on Haldir of Lórien. and his ability, the 3. hero should have low threadcost. in silvan a possible soloution is (MotK) Galion, then you start with 21. in lack o tactic you should use weapons like Ranger Spear and Dúnedain Mark to buff Haldir of Lórien with spirit then, the Mirkwood Long-knife are also a option specially if includin Light of Valinor. with spirit you can use Unexpected Courage

@doomguard i wanted ranged in solo for the exact reason you mentioned, to use Hands Upon the Bow,.. but also Bow of the Galadhrim and Rivendell Bow.

I'm not sure if I own Mirkwood Long-knife, I will have to check. Light of Valinor is a good idea!

for me it would be more worth to get haldir more actions than to only for maximum of 3 played Hands Upon the Bow in the game take a 2. ranged hero, who nearly cannot do anything else (wp 1 is not good). there are many options for more actions:

another benefit: you need only 1 hero to be equipped. to equip 2 heroes needed much more time and reduce effectiveness of both (hand, and haldirs ability).

if you insist on a tactic-silvan (and if only tactic i would prefer (MotK) Pippin the most to make a best haldir). then i would take (MotK) Rúmil. 2 less startinthread than Legolas and can quest with 2 instead the 1
