Elf-Friend starter deck included in the Dream-Chaser hero expansion by FFG.
Description from insert
The fierce Dwarven warrior, Gimli, son of Gloin, was adept at smiting foes with his broad-bladed axe. Gimli's proficiency led to him winning a good-natured Orc-killing rivalry with his friend, Legolas, during the Battle of the Hornburg.
Stout Gimli plays a key role in this deck. Try to equip him with two Citadel Plates, ideally via Master Ironsmith, and take some attacks undefended to get damage on him. Once Gimli is loaded up, he can single-handedly destroy most enemies with his phenomenal 14 attack! With an Unexpected Courage (or two) on him, he'll rack up his kill count in no time.
This deck excels at questing and exploring locations. Cirdan and Éowyn can quest together for an impressive 8 willpower each round, and Northern Trackers and Rhovanion Outriders can repeatedly clear pesky locations from the staging area.
Defending enemy attacks is not a strength of this deck, but it does have Feint and Ouickstrike to help with that. Quickstrike with Gimli can be a great way to destroy large enemies before they attack you, and small allies like Woodland Courier and Master Ironsmith can be sacrificed to defend big attacks.
