DECK NAME - Conflict Resolution

https://youtu.be/UQdikkqTRTY

OVERVIEW - We'll turtle on stage 1 and get our board state set up before moving on to stage 2. Gimli will single-handedly destroy all the unique trolls.

HEROES

STRATEGY

  • OPENING HAND - mulligan for either Steward of Gondor or Song of Kings; Henamarth Riversong is also good
  • STAGE 1 - use Henamarth Riversong to quest just enough to not add progress to the active quest as you take your time
  • STAGE 2 - make sure your threat is under 34 before advancing to stage 2 and optionally engage 1 troll each round and destroy with Quick Strike or Feint and Gimli; you could also just keep your threat above 34 and have them all engage you and deal with them using the events if all in hand, but you may have used them already with Hill Troll
  • Miner of the Iron Hills - save for discarding Sacked; make sure Beravor always has a resource on her so she can play a MotIH if needed the following round
  • Winged Guardian - use as an early chump if necessary; be sure to save 1 for stage 2 to discard if a Frightened Beast comes out while all the trolls are in the staging area
  • Forest Snare - very unlikely to enter play but may be useful against a fairly early Hill Troll
  • MUCK ADDER - be sure to have at least 1 Dúnedain Warning on Beravor before defending against Muck Adder; there is a shadow card that causes the defender to not count its , so do you best to either chump or Feint until you have things set up there

This deck was really fun once I got everything going. Trolls had no chance once they came down!
