In this series I am trying to use as many thematic cards as possible as I play the Lord of the Rings Saga quests in order, in a modified campaign mode. The modification is that I will not be raising my threat if I swap heroes in-between quests

Frodo Baggins and Sam Gamgee are wondering through the bewildering labyrinth of Emyn Muil. By tying a Fast Hitch using the rope given to Sam by Galadriel they are able to descend to the bottom of a high ridge. There, they encounter the miserable maggot; Gollum. Using some Intuition Frodo makes a tamed Smeagel Speak a Promise! on the One Ring to guide them to the Black Gate of Mordor.

He takes them through the marshes where they encounter dead things in the water. Sam is on his guard, using the skills he has learned from Strider to help his master. He keeps a Dagger of Westernesse at the ready and is prepared for an Unseen Strike from the treacherous creature.

This is the first of many Tower of Sam or SuperSam decks I will use for this series. The goal of these decks is the same each time: minimal ally support, boost Sam's with Fireside Song and other songs. Use Taste it Again! to aid in combat. Lots of card draw. These Frodo/Sam quests are not always designed in a way that makes it easy to only have a couple characters under your control. But, with some luck and strategy it can be done!
