The Thematic Saga continues with Fog on the Barrowdowns

In this series I am trying to use as many thematic cards as possible as I play the Lord of the Rings Saga quests in order, in a modified campaign mode. The modification is that I will not be raising my threat if I swap heroes in-between quests.

Black Rider Frodo Baggins is back along with his trusty trio of companions as they set out from Tom Bombadil's house and attempt to cross the Barrowdowns. The instructions were clear, don't stall, don't travel at night, cross as fast a possible.

So, in true hobbit form they decided to ignore all of that and take a rest on top of a hill to Smoke and Think as they blew some Smoke Rings out of their Hobbit Pipes loaded up with Old Toby.

This is of course a terrible decision which is followed up by a worst one as they venture off this hill at dusk and attempt to cross the downs at night. Frodo is separated from Sam Gamgee, Pippin, and Merry. He finds them trapped in a Barrow and musters up some Halfling Determination to call Tom Bombadillo! for aid.

Tom arrives and saves the day. He rummages around the barrow and hands out some Dagger of Westernesse to the hobbits.

This build was fun to do, I was glad to be able to incorporate a true hobbit pipe deck into this series in a very thematic way.

I think I would add a Love of Tales, another Smoke Rings, and another Halfling Determination. I would cut all three Daeron's Runes for thematic reasons.
