Two characters that benefit from higher stats gifted by At the End of All Things right out of the gate are Argalad and Spiragorn.

With 3 and the Contract's readying, Spiragorn can quest for 3 and neutralize a location in staging on turn one. But you've also got the flexibility for Argalad to quest for 3 and neutralize an enemy of up to 3 -- which covers most enemies in the game. Mirkwood Long-knife or Glamdring can let him neutralize pretty much any non-immune enemy.

Dunedain Pathfinder, Mithril Shirt, and Stone of Elostirion help ensure more locations for Aragorn to target, as does Gavin, who along with Seasoned Forager solves the resource problem with the Contract (note that you can't use Gavin's ability any longer once Seasoned Forager is in play!). Once you get Elendilmir on Aragorn, he can neutralize two locations per turn with Unexpected Courage. With help from Rhovanion Outriders, those locations can be explored in staging.

For card draw, look to Estel, Daeron's Runes, and Haleth.

Gift of Foresight synergizes amazingly well with Aragorn, as well, giving him 5 with the Contract. With Mithril Shirt and/or Ring of Barahir, he's a more than capable defender.

Strider generally goes on Argalad to maximize the knives.

The Renewer lets Aragorn ready any ally except Quickbeam and Henamarth Riversong, or give them 1 if it's needed.

Other options:

• Replace Hasty Stroke with A Stout Heart for additional threat reduction, since Aragorn can pretty easily take some undefended attacks.
• Gléowine or Master of the Forge for additional card draw, though I've found it's not needed.
• Loyal Hound for emergency damage cancelation and more power.
• Wingfoot, though with Gift of Foresight it's not ideal.
• Replace all/some Dunedain Pathfinder with The Hidden Way.
• Add A Burning Brand for Aragorn.
