As discussed on the CotR presents feed, this is my ALeP Rohan deck that I will be bringing to Con of the Rings 2022.
You can listen to Bardlee and myself discuss Con specific deckbuilding in the first episode of our Road To Rings limited series here: https://shows.acast.com/cotr-tardy-takes/episodes/road-to-rings-ep-1 and then check out the discussion of this deck, and the others that we will be bringing, in our second episode here: https://shows.acast.com/cotr-tardy-takes/episodes/road-to-rings-ep-2
This is still just about my favorite deck to play, even after years of messing around with it in ALeP playtesting and after the release of Children of Eorl. Lothíriel brings in a self-discarding ally and then all sorts of engine pieces start chugging away to advance the board state.
This was my most played deck at the 2021 Con, so I’ll probably try to avoid using it as much this time around, but it is nice since it hardly uses any uniques that someone else might be using, unless they’re also doing a Rohan deck.
Used this deck almost exclusively at CotR 2023. Amazingly effective. I needed it too. I had done little prep, brought only 3 decks, and wasn't familiar with many of the scenarios. The deck made it almost look like I knew what I was doing.
