Wanted to attempt a perilous voyage deck and figured why not Gondor! This is mono leadership to help deal with some of the multi-sphere hate in the Heirs of Numenor cycle. You mulligan to try to get Steward of Gondor and then you will be pretty well off drawing 3 cards a turn between with Ingold and the contract. In my test games I just ran up my threat with Ingold, which by time i got to elimination level was at a decent board state and could just push through to the end.
Cards like Diligent Noble and We Are Not Idle are mainly there for cycling through the large deck size but Diligent Noblegoes on Ingold to enable the Shining Shield and Valiant Sword to power them up once the contract flips. Those attachments also help with the battle/siege questing of the cycle.

Sep 07, 2022I like the idea of Wealth of Adventure and think it could definitely be worth an addition of a couple copies. Good find! For the Campfire Tales, I mainly included it since at Con of the Rings i primarily play 3-4 player games and it really helps everyone at the table. For solo i think the Wealth of Adventure might be a good replacement. |
Sep 07, 2022Hahaha. I totally said Campfire Tales and meant A Very Good Tale. Sorry about that. I get the cards mixed up sometimes and I've been playing for just long enough to think I remember a card, and just short enough to be wrong about it too often. |
Sep 07, 2022oh yeah that makes sense! I think it could use a few more allies Rammas Lookout Rammas Sentry are good additions if you have ALeP since you can play them without the resource match due to devoted! |
I really love the deck and played it a few times in my con testing. It worked really well and taught me a lot about A Perilous Voyage. Thanks for putting it out here. Have you had any issues with Campfire Tales missing? I had a kinda sketch hit rate given the number of cards and the price of some of them. I'm also curious for your thoughts around Wealth of Adventure as a tool to try to get Visionary Leadership out faster and more reliably.
