Gimli’s biggest downfall is that he needs hit points. The ents biggest downfall is that they need time to get going. Enter Galdor of the Havens, who finds Gimli’s plot armor so he can hold the tide until the ents arrive. Your first turn will almost always be questing with all heroes, engaging and enemy to add a resource to Mablung, and then taking an undefended attack with Gimli. Quick strike can be useful to knock off an enemy without defending after the initial turn. Like any ent deck, it’ll take a bit to get going, but once it does it won’t stop. The weakness I would say is questing, though Grappling Hook on Gimli can make a huge questing push if needed.

playing with Mablung i love Wait no Longer because if it hits it generate a ressoursse at mablung, together with the usual engaging in the engage-phase, Mablung makes money like having the Steward of Gondor (if pairing with Aragorn he could make a 3. but not in this deck)
