Hi, deck i made using 4 heroes, to play the 4 different event cards, that add good cards to the encounter deck: Tom Bombadillo! ; Flight to the Sea ; Flight of the Eagles and Ranger Summons
what this deck do: removing some bad cards with Leave No Trace and None Return and Out of the Wild
adding good cards, with the 4 events mentioned above Some threat reduction with Double Back ; Elrond's Counsel and Gandalf + if necessary Keen as Lances
Lot's of card drawing with Elven-light and Beravor
Direct damage with Gandalf and Descendant of Thorondor . You could replace Merry with Bilbo Baggins for even more direct damage but i found starting with 33 threat is high enough, but probably possible with Bilbo Baggins as well. For more direct damage could remove some eagles and add some Hail of Stones
Mulligan for Guided by Fate and Errand-rider

May 06, 2022its no errata. where set aside is introduced it is mentioned that every player can set aside 3 cards. should be somewhere in angmar or angmar-cycle. and the difference between the ranger and the others is on the text of the card, that shuffle the specefic card into the encounterdeck. e.g ringsdb.com (1 of your set aside) or Flight of the Eagles (shuffle a set aside....) |
May 06, 2022another thing (and perhaps it was, because you choose merry over eowyn in the first place) without merry you have no hobbit-hero, so cannot play Tom Bombadillo! |
May 06, 2022found it. its under "encounter" page 2 look here: images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com or take the quote: Encounter Encounter is a new keyword that appears on player cards with an encounter card back, and it has the following rules: • Player cards with the encounter keyword cannot be included in any player’s deck because they have encounter card backs. Instead, when setting up a scenario, each player may set up to 3 cards with the encounter keyword aside, out of play. These cards do not count toward the player’s deck minimum of 50 cards. • Player cards with the encounter keyword have a dash (-) instead of a cost because they are never played from a player’s hand. Instead, player cards with the encounter keyword are meant to be shuffled into the encounter deck. In order to shuffle one of the set aside player cards into the encounter deck, a card effect must instruct a player to do so. • The “when revealed” effect on player cards with the encounter keyword cannot be canceled. • If a player card with the encounter keyword is dealt as a shadow card to an enemy, it is treated like an encounter card: place it in the encounter discard pile after resolving that enemy’s attack. • If a player card with the encounter keyword leaves play, it is removed from the game. Do not place it in a player’s discard pile or in the encounter deck discard pile. S |

problem is,you alone can only set 3 cards aside, so only 3 cards at all to put into the encounterdeck. that was the reason i made a fellowship about that theme. with up to 12 cards put into the encounter its a different thing.
but i like your version and could imagine to replace one of my decks in the fellowship. if you are interested and have an opinion, which one to replace i am glad to hear: ringsdb.com
