Roka 1671

This is the lore deck I build to introduce new players in the game and that can be played in the fellowship with its fellow Beginner Decks. To see on what I focused for these decks check out the fellowship's description.

This deck focuses on the main aspects of the lore sphere, healing, card draw and a little bit encounter deck maniplation with Henamarth Riversong and Gildor's Counsel. Elrond and Treebeard are popular book/movie characters that synergize nicely together in combination with other healing cards, and Pippin is a nice support hero that can keep the starting threat on a manageable level and draw some cards. He also enables The Dam Bursts, which is a thematic card that can create a memorable swing in the game, which I think is a cool experience for new players.

Why no Vilya? Everything except The Dam Bursts will be a hit, so you can go in blind, and it's not too complicated...also a plus for the lore.

@Turgon I thought about adding Vilya, but decided adainst it, cause i don't think it's the best way to make new players familiar with the core mechanics of the game, cause it's an rather usual mechanic. Normal decks have to use ressources and draw to get's card into play, and exhausting a hero to get a maybe powerful card into play is quite a change to the normal pace of the game. So I wouldn't say it's too complicated, but I rather give a new player a more "standart" deck, cause I think it makes it easier to switch to other decks at a later point.

That's true. Good idea...it looks like a pretty good deck!
