This is the spirit deck I build to introduce new players in the game and that can be played in the fellowship with its fellow Beginner Decks. To see on what I focused for these decks check out the fellowship's description.
This deck focuses on the main aspect of the spirit sphere, threat reduction location control and cancellation. The heroes are here cause they are popular characters from the books/movies that also lean into the strengths of the sphere. With Frodo Baggins and to a lesser extent Heirs of Earendil you can use threat as a ressource during combat or questing, and drop it again with threat reducing events. Aragorn synergyzies with other location control cards like Northern Tracker and Rhovanion Outrider. Arwen Undómiel + Elven-light keeps the whole deck flowing, and while it's a little bit complicated to understand in the first place, once you get the combat it's rather straigthforward. Cancellation comes with the Core Set staples A Test of Will/Hasty Stroke.
Both Tale of Tinúviel and Heirs of Earendil are thematic cards that can create memorable swings in a game, which I think is a cool experience for new players.
