This deck is part of a set of 13 decks, for all details check out the project here: 13 Decks Were Given to the Race of Men
Rating:
- Preferred Player Count: 2 - 4
- Complexity: Medium
- Time Intensity: Medium
- Focus: Defense
Synopsis:
This deck is mostly focussed on defending. Try to find your Armored Destrier's as soon as possible and start to build Erkenbrand's defensive capabilities. Forth, The Three Hunters! is a nice bonus when flipped and also allows Erkenbrand to get 3 Armored Destriers attached. The main thinking point with this deck is in the combat phase, with planning and questing are usually quite straight-forward. You can generate some attack through Éowyn late in the game but have next to no capabilities of killing enemies early on.
How it's played:
This deck rarely takes a mulligan because of Galdor of the Havens' first ability. Only very few cards are worth keeping:
- Armored Destrier
- Magic Ring
- Expert Treasure-hunter
- Gather Information
- (In some cases) Heed the Dream
The rest of your hand will normally be sacrificed for Galdor's ability. From then on, the goal is to trigger Galdor's second ability. Try to empty your hand in the first 2-3 rounds, so you can draw 6 again. After seeing that many cards, you are likely to have a good setup that can carry the defensive load of the team.
Strengths: Defense, Healing
Weaknesses: Attack
