This Last Alliance has a readying focus so that the heroes are available for the appropriate racing test in Challenge of the Wainriders. Westfold Horse-Breaker in particular is key. You can use the contract in order to get Gwaihir to ready along with Eowyn or Thengel. Once Light-footed Steed is on one of them, all the heroes can ready from the discard.
Gamling can also do a lot work in this deck getting Rohan or Eagle allies back with the contract. Working out the best time and target for the contract is the primary challenge of playing the deck.
Thror's Key, Riddermark's Finest, and Meneldor are here for Crowded Track. Thror's Key works best but the other 2 are a decent back up plan. They can also help get rid of Ravine Ledge before having to make a racing test.
The first couple of turns can be tough. Really looking for Golden Shield and some form of readying early on. After a couple uses of Thengel's ability and board state will start to take over.
