Truemrfu 22
I built this deck and then realized I should share it because there isn’t a deck with these heroes on this site, which is quite surprising. (Fyi I don’t have a huge card pool so people may be able to improve this).
-Why this deck
I started this deck because I love Faramir and Haldir. And playing solo I wanted a deck with both, then in order to use Haldir’s ability in solo you need to be low threat and that means spirit. Spirit Glorfindel seemed like the only choice, he is the lowest threat, plus he gives me access to 3 cards I thought would be useful, Well Warned, Elrond's Counsel, and Coney in a Trap.
-How this deck works
Like most decks, it comes down to the first round, and this deck has a horrible first round. The most important card is steward of Gondor (which goes on haldir), then Light of Valinor. Secondly to help get those master of the forge is great. But first turn can happen a few ways depending on the setup. You can either mad quest with all 3 and not engage an enemy, if you do have to engage you have “well warned” and “Coney in a Trap.” If you don’t have coney, faramir and Glorfindel both have 5 health and can take an undefended attack. Then with Glorfindel and Haldir you have a combined 6 attack. There aren’t a lot of cards with engagement cost below 25 that don’t die to 6 attack. And if they have more then that, it might be worth not questing with faramir the first turn and adding his 2 attack.
-Mid game
Faramir and Haldir may seem like they have counter-intuitive abilities, but Faramir’s ability protects Haldirs Weakness I think. Wingfoot goes on Haldir and Steed of the Mark goes on Faramir because you don’t need much leadership resources after you play steward of Gondor. Ranger bows on rangers help Haldir take out enemies in the staging area. Rumor from the earth can be used each turn for 1 cost until you get Henamarth if you need it. (Mainly for wingfoot)
-Tips
Faramir’s ability is also very good with ents, and on quest with enemies that engage you from card effects. He can also be used to ready the master of the forge if you don’t need more attackers or defenders. And this deck is very good for quests who have battle keywords. Can be good against siege keyword in late game when you get the Ents going, just not early.
