I'm attempting to beat most of the quests in the game with a thematic Rohan deck. I never thought I'd actually use a mono-Tactics thematic Rohan deck despite already having built one for fun. This ended up being the Morgul Vale deck that I had to resort to. Plenty of direct damage. I finally beat it after about the 8th try with this deck.
A key was having Firefoot, 2 Bow of Yew, a Feint, and a Goblin Cleaver in my opening hand. I found this deck generally ripped right through the encounter deck until stage 3.
A real fun deck for this quest!
In the future I'd probably add more things like Reckless Attack or even Hail of Stones for more DD.
