my first try...

Nice deck. Any reason why you cut Citadel Plate? 6 /8 Beregond is a damn wall! Sometimes the extra 2 from a second Gondorian Shield is irrelevant if your enemies can barely go beyond your high defense, but there are other ways to damage your heroes, like treacheries and the Archery keyword, where a huge pool would do better.

If you use the second Restricted slot for Spear of the Citadel, how well is it doing for you? I usually combo that with Gondorian Spearman on quests with low enemies, but I see you haven't included him either.

Oh, it's literally your first try! I thought it was the first try of this build.

Well, first of all, the deck is well built the way it is right now, so kudos for that. There may be a few quirks (as those mentioned above) that might need be ironed out for a smoother performance.

I'll get back to you later with a more precise analysis, though. Cheers!

Ok, let's go:

Initially is important to know whether this will be a solo-deck or part of a Fellowship. It's imperative to know because questing is the main aspect of this game, being more important than combat for most of the adventures. In this regard, this deck lacks questing power. Your Heroes total is 3, and considering most Enemies and Locations have at least 2 , you'll likely be unsuccessful on your first questing phase because you can't increase your counting on turn 1 other than with Elrond's Counsel as your allies cost at least 2 and you don't have that many resources unless you get Song of Travel on the opening hand.

In solo you gotta be good at everything, obviously, but being better at questing is usually what wins you games, because most quest don't require you to kill enemies and 'chump blocking' can be enough to get your Heroes to see the end of the turn unscathed by combat.

I personally don't like this lineup for solo, that was the reason I clicked on your deck, because I was interested to see what you were doing with these guys. Beorn and Beregond fulfill the same role here as defenders, which seems overkill to me.

I didn't cite any specific card I would take out or include, because I believe it would be better for you to play with your deck a few adventures and feel what's working and what's not. You'll come to realize how hard will be to play Northern Tracker and Gandalf in the same game without any resource generation, for example.

Still, I recommend you playing first, specially the first two Core adventures (avoid the third, it's too hard right now, even for this game's standards) and maybe The Hunt for Gollum and Conflict at the Carrock. The Hunt will expose your deck's difficulty in questing, but the Conflict will feel a bit more refreshing if you can setup for combating the Trolls.

ya it is for true solo play
