This is my first ever Forth, The Three Hunters! build. It took me a surprisingly long time to build for having no allies included. After I built this deck I realized there is an original and popular version out there by @The BGamerJoe which should be considered the OG of this deck (and I thought I was being sooo edgy by including this lineup, too!). The reason I decided to post this version despite the existing version by The BGamerJoe is because there are minor differences, and I worked hard on it.

I decided to focus on having a few more event cards which help with the combat phase and questing phases. Namely, this includes Charge of the Rohirrim for a nice boost and Captains of the West for a boost in and keeping heroes ready (especially with Diligent Noble which allows Elfhelm to benefit along with a card draw). I also lack some of the card pool which is also a notable difference. Unfortunately, I could not find a way to sneak in Forth Eorlingas! Missed opportunity I guess!

The deck is a bit event-heavy. This does lower the percentage of your initial hand including the restricted attachments you need. I really, really wanted Sterner than Steel in here. It will likely be included against quests known for nasty shadow effects. Overall the events do pay off. I also tried to stay consistent in adding three copies of important attachments so eveyone gets what they need and thus increasing the percentage of drawing them. There are extra restricted attachments just in case. In my testing the only time I've lost was when I couldn't find restricted attachments quickly enough. This was usually combined with something like a Hill Troll turn one without a way to defend it. Feint helps early game with this.

There's a few options for drawing. The best route seems to be Steward of Gondor on Eowyn and using Elven-light every round. SoG also helps use The Galadhrim's Greeting without straining resources. Bonus: if you use Gondorian Shield with Steward you get that extra !

The strategy is simply and probably the same for every Forth, the Three Hunters deck. Get the restricted attachments on ASAP. The question is: who gets what?

Theoden is our attacker and my inspiration for this lineup. I really wanted to use him because he benefits so well from Herugrim which can be played turn one thanks to the synergy there. It is preferable to give him Rohan Warhorse turn one as well which also boosts his attack thanks to Elfhelm. You can decide to give him Snowmane or not later on. There are pros and cons to this because you actually want the restricted attachments as he should be using War Axe. Give him a Song of Travel for another boost. Always give him an Unexpected Courage when possible.

Elfhelm is our defender. Give him Golden Shield or Raiment of War turn one if possible. Raiment is great to give him the two restriction slots turn one for the contract. Of course, his Armored Destrier is essential to his role. A Golden Belt means he can have all three. Total : 6.

Eowyn does what she is famous for in questing. I believe her spirit version is ideal for this contract. Give her Windfola as soon as possible. She should also get the Celebrían's Stone. Depending on how you set Theoden and Elfhelm up you could give her Snowmane (which I find myself doing often) and/or another a Golden Shield/Herugrim. Her other role: discard everything you can't use otherwise!

would reduce the 3 waraxe. you can only use 1. take 2 daggers or 2 spears instead

With Song of Battle two can be used, actually. And this deck isn't likely to get the extra from either the Dagger of Westernesse or Spear of the Mark, the War Axes are simply better. Any extras can be chucked for Eowyn's ability.

You can't give Raiment of War to Éowyn because she lacks the Warrior trait.

You could give her a Silver Circlet instead.

@doomguard True, I have contemplated using the Spears. I also want to ensure Theoden gets one ASAP. A Spear may be good for allowing others to use it, though.

@RogueWraith Exactly. My only dilemma was trying to find a way to add more song of battle!

@Emmental Wow, I can't believe I missed that when writing this up. I think I was just typing off the top of my head at that point. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll edit the description. Also, I would use Silver Circlet but I do not have the card unfortunately :( Perhaps I could add another Celebrían's Stone?

Thanks for all of the feedback.

Why not (i have only one core set so in all my deck there is only one Celebrían's Stone), but maybe it'll be a lot of uniques. You could also take the Steed of Imladris as another mount and way to use more Elven-light (i feel like a Steward of Gondor is a bit of averkill for only 1 light/round, especially if you are playing mutiplayer.).

In a three hunter deck ressources are usually not a big problem (you have reduction for attachments in early + no need to pay for allies), but card draw for getting side B asap is more important (ideally i want to activate it in the second refresh phase).

That's why i'm not fan of uniques in ×3 when you don't have access to (Daeron's Runes, Drinking Song). I would cut at least 1 Windfola, 1 Herugrim and 1 Golden Shield, considering swapping them with Open the Armory to help grab them.
