Saruman is going to Doom us all!
Not with Galadriel and Beregond he won't.
Since Saruman came out the doomed deck has taken off, to be honest since Saruman's Staff came out the doomed deck has taken off.
The idea behind this deck is that Saruman's text says that threat can be reduced by only 1 at a time. So we put in Beregond and Galadriel which can keep a lid on the threat raise from the Doomed keyword.
We hard mulligan for Saruman's Staff and play doomed events. Deep Knowledge and Legacy of Númenor are good early doors and The Wizards's Voice is now not only playable, but powerful, especially in a multi player setting.
Doomed events can be mixed and matched dependent on the quest (the pool of events will be expanded when the new expansions finally hit).
Questing is handled by Saruman, Galadriel's Handmaiden (yes more threat reduction) and Ethir Swordsman
Defense is from Beregond
Attack from Quickbeam and a readied Saruman
Attachments go to their natural homes, Unexpected Courage should go to Beregond first.
NOTE - This was designed as a multi player deck that has Éomer across the table. The other deck engages the enemies, Beregond defends (lowers threat), and then Éomer tramples them with Firefoot
Really like the concept. Wouldn't Beregond's threat reduction trigger for the player controlling Éomer if he was using his sentinel ability? I'm sure you could defend another enemy engaged with you if you've got enough readying with Unexpected Courage, as you mention, and then reduce your threat.
