No Narvi's Belt eh? Are you hoping to A Very Good Tale into Elrond and Bifur?

@Jtothemac With the smoothing from Grey Wanderer I felt like Narvi's Belt would just be a tempo hit. Bit you're right about those cards being difficult to play (I forgot about the uniqueness limitation). I'd probably swap them for a couple Longbeard Elders.

@Jtothemac I guess Elrond is still quite effective with just Sneak Attack though.

You could even add Captain's Wisdom for a bigger boost in the first few turns since you would be able to ready Thorin with the contract.

what would you sub for Strength and Courage if you're playing with someone already using the one ring or Strider if there's another Grey Wanderer?

@eristotle I'd probably just sub out the whole deck in that case. There aren't any cards that can single-handedly take care of early game questing and attack like those can.

@eristotle Dwarf Pipe could be good I guess but if you want to go for the attack power Dagger of Westernesse is a basically guaranteed +2 Attack (or Dwarrowdelf Axe)

If you swap Strider for Dwarrowdelf Axe you are effectively trading a setup where you can quest for 5 and attack for 3 with a setup where you can quest for 3 or attack for 5. I can't really recommend that. The axe is maybe a replacement for Strength and Courage (2 vs 4 attack, but reaches par once you find a second axe or dagger), but there are not any decent substitutes for Strider.

Strider is most definitely unmatched, mine was a suggestion to substitute for Strength and Courage at least.

@eristotleif the other The Grey Wanderer deck is using a Noldor or Silvan hero perhaps it could settle for Light of Valinor.

perhaps add some well equipped. yes there are not soo much attachement, but a good chance to hit a ered luin miner or a hidden cache. and if it hit the armour, wow. would replace elrond and bifur for that. because of the few attachements and much discard, i would swap 2 toymaker with 2 prospectors.
