Nov 12, 2018I am finding that the biggest challenge with this deck is the gigantic amount of Spirit cards that you just can't afford. |
Nov 12, 2018Resourceful on Frodo Baggins was definitely a lifesaver for me when it came to Spirit resources. Aside from Frodo's Intuition, I don't think he paid for anything other than Spirit cards. |
Nov 12, 2018Matt - the article states that Frodo's resources can be used to pay for any sphere. That's how you pay for all the spirit. (Get those resourcefuls on Frodo!) That said, although blue Pippen is weak compared to green Pippen, he is blue and that is a reasonable sub I think. |
Nov 13, 2018The problem is that there are a lot of pretty awful cards in this giant deck, most often Spirit cards, and I found that the main "challenge" was praying I didn't draw them. If I draw Resourceful, Rosie, and Fast Hitches, I'll be able to have a shot against the Designer Challenge. If I draw Smoke Rings, Second Breakfast, and Old Toby, I won't be okay. It's the "variance challenge" that seems like the main element of this Designer Challenge. |
