This is yet another version of the soon-to-be classic "Children of Elrond Deck". Arwen Undómiel was announced to synergise with the twins and it works really, really well. This does not play like a Noldor deck in any way, as it's crammed with Silvan allies I find more effective for the archetype.
The way I play this deck is: I want to spend a minimum of resources on allies, events, attachments and get a maximum of resources using Arwen's ability throughout the game or:
- Steward of Gondor x2 (put it on Elrohir of course)
- O Lórien! x1 (any hero) Only x1 for O Lorien because there is not so much Silvan allies to trigger that attachment on.
Having lots of resources on Elladan and Elrohir allows you to trigger their abilities over and over, litterally wiping out the table of enemies. Arwen's resources should be played on events and questing allies, especially on Elven Light for card draw, of course.
The over-used Light of Valinor in this deck provides action advantage to on of the brothers (which is cool by itself cos' they have 2 willpower each which is nothing to sneeze at) and thus, resource saving.
All other cards are pretty much auto-included at this point to support the mechanic.
Heroes and attachments:
- Elrohir: Steward of Gondor + Gondorian Shield + Dúnedain Warning x3 + Elven Mail + Light of Valinor quests for 2, defend for 8 with 6 hit points and produces 3 resources a round (defends 4 times with Sentinel).
- Elladan: the Rivendell Blade (you can also get Blade of Gondolin in the deck to help progressing and killing orcs)
- Arwen Undómiel : Silver Harp and the second Gondorian Shield (she can defend for 3 on smaller enemies).
This is a deck that works in a solo as well as a multiplayer environnement (include copies of Rivendell Bow to give Elladan ranged). In multiplayer, the other player should go for a questing-location management-healing deck. I'll soon provide a Dunedain deck that pairs well with the Children of Elrond deck.
