A Path Less Travelled: The Battle of Pelennor Fields

I have decided to start a variant on the Saga Campaign. Personally, I felt the strict hero requirements for the majority of the official saga campaign to be more frustrating than fun. My main goal is to balance theme with overall fun for playing each of the quests in the saga all while using as many new cards and archetypes as possible.

This Rohan deck is broken. The only weakness is defending and Beregond takes care of that from the other deck. Eomer is so fun with firefoot and rohan warhorse. So much damage! Pretty standard play for the Rohan swarm deck where you get Gamling out ASAP and use a rohan ally that can be discarded after being brought in with lothiriel's ability (westfold lancer, grimbold, escort from edoras or deeping bowman) which then fires thengel's ability. The ally discard from dread and despair treachery could be used to fire Thengel's ability for either deck which is a fun tech move. The honour guards are used mostly for the black dart treachery condition.

I haven't used Dale yet and this felt like a good opportunity to use the Dale archetype. Pretty standard play and also overpowered.

Once you have an understanding for the specifics of this quest you should be able to beat more often than not.
