A Path Less Travelled: The Passing of the Grey Company

I have decided to start a variant on the Saga Campaign. Personally, I felt the strict hero requirements for the majority of the official saga campaign to be more frustrating than fun. My main goal is to balance theme with overall fun for playing each of the quests in the saga all while using as many new cards and archetypes as possible.

I am not a fan of quests where the main mechanic is threat raising. I don't like losing from threating out and managing threat is not my favorite part of the game. This quest also forces you to have insane willpower. So options are quite a bit limited for deckbuilding given the requirements of insane willpower and threat reduction. So I used the standard high WP spirit heroes for most of the heroe lineup.

Mono spirit helps with getting most of your initial hand played before you have to discard it. Denethor on the other deck helps as well.

Legolas takes care of the enemies (sometimes with help from Aragorn or Glorfindel ally) and Beregond does all the defending.

Pretty straightforward. Just have to be careful to make sure you don't end game with any overcome by grief cards in play!
